The named vineyard, called "Les Garants" gives one of the most structured Fleurie wines in the cellar

History

The vineyards the grapes come from were chosen for their aspect and their representativeness in the heart of the Fleurie named vineyards. Les Garants is at the northern end of the Fleurie appellation area, close to Moulin A Vent.

Terroir

Granitic soil. Grape variety : 100 % Gamay

Winemaking & Maturing

The vinification method used is called "Beaujolais vinification" and includes semi-carbonic maceration. It is carried out under immediate and permanent temperature control and can vary from 8 to 15 days. Maturing in stainless steel vats for 9 months.

Tasting

A lovely, intense robe, the nose is complex, with small ripe red and black fruit (raspberry) aromas and spicy notes. The end is long with powerful yet silky tannins.

Culinary Suggestions

Ideal with white meat, poultry and ewe's milk cheese

Serving temperature

Serve at 16° C. This terroir wine may be enjoyed from 2 years from now and be cellared for 6 to 8 years.
